Homemade Chex Mix

Last week for New Year's Eve, The Hubs made a big batch of homemade chex mix.  And by big batch I mean HUGE batch.  Once you combine over six boxes of chex cereal with a huge bag of pretzels and Sam's Club size cans of peanuts and cashews, it really adds up.  It adds up to larger than any large or giant sized bowl I have in my kitchen.  He ended up having to mix it all together in a garbage bag {clean and fresh of course!}.  Good thing I have a giant dehydrator!

We frequently take liberty with recipes around here and omitted the bagel chips and added extra Worcestershire sauce, but I'm sure you could add other fun things to the mix too.  But it was delicious of course!  And now I have several bags of homemade chex mix in my food storage.  He was so proud of his ginormous batch of Chex Mix that he wanted me to post it on the blog for you all to see.

If you want to make a more normal size amount then go here for the recipe.

  1. Yay! I love home-made chex mix so much better than store-bought. I made some over the holidays.
