A Fresh Start

This year I'm starting a new tradition.

After one I have admired for years!

I mean, ever since I spent a little time in Brazil.

Like 17 years ago! 
See?  I've been thinking about this a long time!

In Brazil,

Around this time of year

White clothing pops up in the stores

Everywhere!

I mean, entire stores filled with lovely whites!

Whites in all sorts of fabrics, cuts and styles.
From formal wear to casual wear.

It's gorgeous!

Everyone wears white!

From their movie stars at their fabulous New Years Eve parties

to your average everyday Joe.

 Why?

Because white is pure.

White signifies a new beginning.

A fresh start.

Isn't that a lovely tradition?

 I love the symbolism of it.

I love that it reminds me of...

Christ's love...
 

...Of forgiveness...
  

...And repentance.

It's such a lovely and meaningful idea.
