Goji berries are nutritional powerhouses! They are super high in antioxidants and rate extremely high on the ORAC scale {like a 25,300 vs. 2,400 for blueberries}. You want young looking and beautiful skin? Start eating goji berries! They look like this:
I bought my goji berries here. But I want to plant my own bush and have them all the time. You can purchase seedlings to plant your own from here.
Antioxidant Rich Strawberry Goji Smoothie
1 1/2 cups vanilla yogurt or kefir
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 cups frozen sliced banana
1 cup frozen strawberries
1/4 cup goji berries
2 tbsp whole golden flax seeds
Combine everything in a high speed blender {mine is a Blendtecbut a Vita-Mix
is great too ~ a regular blender may not get everything as smooth as you like ~heck, my old one before I got the BlendTec wouldn't even crush ice! ~ but it will still probably taste good}. Serves 2.
This smoothie was quite tasty and refreshing. In fact, it was so tasty I might be able to sneak these into The Tod's old "monkey drinks" {aka those Danimals yogurt drink containers I've been saving ~ more on that later!}
